Upper Bern Township Park

Parks are open to the public from 6am-11pm. All visitors must vacate the park by 11:00 PM unless otherwise authorized by permit.

Available for parties, meetings, corporations outings, banquets, picnics, weddings, and family reunions.

The park is available to be rented from June 1st  - September 15th. Rental is from 6 am - 11 pm.

Park Rental / Special Event Permit

A permit is required for organized events, gatherings, or activities involving more than 25 people or requiring exclusive use of any portion of the park. Permit applications must be submitted at least 7 days prior to the event.

Township Residents

$275 / Day

  • Includes $150 refundable deposit. Proof of residency required.

Non-Residents

$375 / Day

  • Includes $100 refundable deposit

Please note the following are prohibited within the park:

  • Alcohol is not permitted on park property
  • Overnight camping or sleeping
  • Fireworks or explosives of any kind
  • Weapons, including firearms, bows, or air rifles
  • Motorized recreational vehicles (ATVs, dirt bikes, snowmobiles)
  • Unauthorized amplified sound (permit required; must end by 10:00 PM)
  • Littering or dumping trash
  • Damage to park property or vegetation
  • Drones and unmanned aerial vehicles are prohibited without prior written authorization from the Township.

Pets must be kept on a leash (maximum 6 feet) and under control at all times. Owners are responsible for cleanup.

Fires are only permitted in designated grills or approved portable grills. All fires must be fully extinguished before leaving. Open burning is not permitted.

Refundable deposits are returned within 30 days provided:

  • All trash is removed
  • Facilities are left clean
  • No damage occurs
  • All Township property (keys, etc.) is returned

All permits are subject to approval based on availability, nature of the event, and potential impact on park facilities and other users.

Permit holders are responsible for any damage to park property and may be required to reimburse the Township for repairs.
